Mr Rickson Mboweni, Mr Andrew Crole, Mrs Disebo Moephuli, and Mrs Carol Drysdale are privileged to present a transformative initiative dedicated to education and opportunity. More than a programme, it is a catalyst for change-removing barriers, unlocking potential, and reshaping futures. 

True to its name, Umthelela is committed to creating a lasting impact. Recognising the challenges many promising students face, Mr Crole and Mrs Drysdale leveraged their expertise and networks to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity. Through strategic partnerships with businesses, educators, and communities, the Trust provides financial support, mentorship, and skills development-ensuring deserving students have access to the resources they need to succeed. 

The Trust has already funded 112 students selected for district sporting teams, covering their fees to remove financial obstacles. Additionally, it has secured four high school scholarships, collectively valued at approximately R3 million, granting students access to quality education and greater opportunities.
